Women in Industry!! A group of female AVID students were invited to attend an electrical workshop at Craft Training Center. The event was hosted by This Ones for the Gals Organization. Two weeks ago 20 of our 8th grade science students were selected to participate in Stem-a-thon at Moody High School! Activities included flying drones, physics labs, underwater robotics, welding, health science and engineering labs! This was a great opportunity for our students to see what Moody High School has to offer STEM students!!

Very Exciting News!!! Anthony Reyes, who was the 2nd place winner in the South Texas Regional Spelling Bee will now be the representative at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May!! We are so happy for Anthony! He will represent all of South Texas at the national spelling bee held in Maryland. The bee takes place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, right outside of Washington, D.C. This will be from May 28th through the 30th. Join us in wishing Anthony "Good Luck!"
